Stuck Pipe Prevention
Duration: 3 days
About this course
The stuck pipe prevention course provides an in-depth understanding of how stuck pipe events can occur and how stuck pipe prevention should be managed in the well designs and during operations. The course is planned over 3 days and is kept as practical as possible, involving numerous practical case study exercises. During the course a number of practical recommendations are presented to prevent stuck pipe, which can be implemented immediately on the rig. The course is a “stuck pipe prevention” course, not a “stuck pipe recovery” course. However the two can be combined into full 5-day stuck pipe prevention and recovery course.

The course has been designed such it can be attended by contractor and operator staff, e.g. rig crew, directional drillers, mud engineers and drilling supervisors. Also office-based well engineers well will benefit from taking this course. Basic mathematical knowledge is a prerequisite.
